Corinna Slusser was 19 when she made a surprise move from her small rural town in Penslyvianna to the big lights of New York City. Without telling family or friends about the move Corinna announced to everyone via social media in August 2017 that she was in New York. Her dreams of living in the big city would come crashing down almost instantly after she arrived.
Corinna met and started a relationship with a man named Yhovanny Peguero who physically assaulted Corrina and she was taken to the hospital. 3 days later Yhovanny was arrested.
Corinna is then known to have connected with a man named Ishi Woney, who was the last known person to see Corinna on September 20, 2017.
Yhovanny and Ishi are known criminals with a long history of bad behavior including human trafficking.
Ishi Woney was arrested on October 31, 2018, on federal charges of sex trafficking Corinna and another woman in New York and he was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.
Yhovanny Peguero is sentenced in October 2021 to drug and prostitution charges. He is housed at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone, New York. He could be released as early as October 2023.
