S1: E1: Lashaya Stine

A 16 year old honor student is preparing for big life changes, she has an internship lined up with a local hospital - she has an upcoming job interview and by all accounts is leading a normal teenagers life, so when she vanished from her home one night in July the family is left wondering where she went and who she went to meet. But when the leads, tips, and siting's all point to Lashaya being human trafficking, it shocked her family, her community and those following the case.

Human trafficking is a very real thing and each case looks completely different yet they show the same end result, exploiting a person against their will.

Lashaya Stine was living in Aurora Colorado in 2016, when she left her home in the early morning hours in July and ended up becoming a victim of human trafficking; she is one out of millions.

There have been sightings of Lashaya in Kansas City Missouri, New Mexico, Arizona, Colfax Avenue in Aurora Colorado, and Kansas.

She is description as an African American woman 5’6″ tall, weighing around 150 lbs., black hair, brown eyes, and a quarter-sized scar on her chest.

A few things to note:

It has been reported that Lashaya has lost weight and her hair frequently changes

Her scare could have a marking, brand, or tattoo covering it up.

Also often times victims of trafficking will be heavily drugged up by their handlers for easy control and multiplication. Over time and as a coping mechanism victims will become addicted. When you look at the photos of Lashaya or anyone who is missing, keep in mind their appearance could have altered drastically over time with hard drug use, and the lifestyle they are living.

Lashaya Stine has been Missing since July 15, 2016 there is a

$10 thousand dollar reward being offered and her disappearance is being investigated by the Aurora police department with the help of the FBI.

She is description as an African American female who is 5’6″ tall, weighing around 150 lbs., at the time of her disappearance, with black hair, brown eyes, and a quarter-sized scar on her chest. Which could have a tattoo or home branding over it now.
