Danica Childs was a 17 year old high school student living in Federal Way, Washington with her family in 2007. She had been struggling in school but by all accounts was back on track and ready to graduate on time.
When she fails to show up for a planned shopping trip with her sisters and friends her family beings their journey into locating her. What they learned was horrific and devastating to say the least.
Danica had lied about staying at a friends house the previous night and her mother would learn she had actually stayed the night at the Sunset Motel in the neighboring city of Kent, Washington. A hotel that is a known hot bed for illegal sex exploitation and drug use.
Danica's purse, coat, and cellphone would be discovered at this hotel. Danica's mother was able to successfully crack the passcode to Danica's voicemail and she learned her daughter was being sexually exploited through the voicemails left on her phone from the "John's" paying for this crime. Danica's mother would also learn her daughters boyfriend was a known pimp and she believes that his relationship with Danica led her into the world of prostitution.
Danica was a teenager who enjoyed writing and poetry, and she had her entire life ahead of her.
Danica Childs is believed to have been the victim of human trafficking and is still out there, some where. With only a handful of leads which have turned up nothing, her family is still hopeful she is alive but living a terrible life of forced exploitation.
Danica Childs has been missing since December 21st, 2007 from Federal Way, Washington. She is a biracial female who was 17 years old and 107 pounds at the time of her disappearance. She is between 5'2" and 5'3". She has brown hair, brown eyes, her ears, nose and navel are pierced. She may have markings, brandings, or tattoos with male names or symbols of ownership toward someone else.
Her nick names are Neek or Neeka.
