WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE STAND FOR
Last Word is an anti-human trafficking brand and human rights organization located in North Texas. Our motto is to be LOUD, BOLD, & OUT THERE. Loud about the crimes of human trafficking, bold in our actions against it, and out there through our fashion and story telling.
Human trafficking is one of the most under-reported crimes and its a global crisis, happening all around us. It is lurking in the shadows unseen and unheard. But it is time that we as mankind stand together to illuminate this dark and disgusting evilness taking place.
Through our fashion, education & prevention, and telling the stories of human trafficking, we stand with survivors and give them the Last Word.
All of the products at Last Word are made and created where workers are free from trafficked environments, making fair and honest wages.
The materials we use to the call-outs on the shirts themselves, serve a specific purpose to be LOUD, BOLD, and OUT THERE. We believe that all people deserve to be free, regardless or where they are from, or what their story is. By wearing our products you are standing beside us in that mission.
You can wear our products proudly, knowing that you helped support the fight to end this global crisis! We have to stay LOUD, BOLD, and OUT THERE to end human trafficking, and the best way we know how to do it is through our creativity and love for fashion.
What is human trafficking? Human trafficking requires the use of all or one of the following to secure any type of labor of commercial sex act – FORCE, FRAUD, or COERCION!
The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 40.3 million victims of human trafficking globally, with hundreds of thousands in the United States alone. The victims of this heinous crime are men, women, & children, both foreign and domestic. Certain situations can make people more vulnerable, but human trafficking has no boundaries. It will target anyone, anywhere, regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other sub category we place on humans.
One hard truth is there are products all around you even in your home that were made, produced, created or developed in human trafficking environments. We must be aware and vigilant about what human trafficking is, how to spot it, and how to stop it.
